What Insurances do you accept?

We are an open access provider, therefore we are able to file a claim on your behalf for out-of-network reimbursement for the following insurance companies: VSP, Cigna Vision, Eyemed, Blue View, Aetna Vision, Superior, Spectera, and Davis Vision.

Why do I need to pay phoneticeyewear.com? Can't you bill my insurance?

We don't handle insurance directly, instead we submit the claim on your behalf. After you make your purchase on PhoneticEyewear.com, we're able to submit your claim. Next, your insurance company sends you a reimbursement within the next few weeks!

When will I received my reimbursement?

Reimbursements typically take 2-3 weeks to process and are sent directly to your home, from your insurance company.

How much money will I get back?

That depends on your out-of-network benefits through your insurance plan. When you supply us with your information, we're able to check in real time what your benefits will be. We will let you know this information so you can best take advantage of your allowance amounts.

Do I need to contact my insurance company first?

No need for you to do any work! Once you supply us with your insurance and identifiers, we take care of the rest! We use a third-party system to process your claim for you. They work directly with the insurance company to get your reimbursement!

Will this affect my other benefits?

We're looking at your eligible benefits for frames and lenses. Your benefits for contact lenses and exams are separate. If you have benefits available for frames and lenses, we will let you know and you can decide if you want to use your yearly or bi-yearly allowance.

What happens if I return the glasses or change my mind?

If you've used your vision benefits and decide to return your glasses, we will issue a full refund to your checkout payment method. If you'd like to contact your insurance company so that you can send back your reimbursement and use your benefits elsewhere, that is handled directly with you and your insurance. Keep in mind we offer free exchanges. If you don't like a certain style, we're happy to try another!

Do you save my vision insurance for future purchases?

We can keep your vision insurance on file. Keep in mind though that most insurance companies only offer yearly or bi-yearly allowances and reimbursements. Want an update on your benefits? Give us a call or email us at info@phoneticeyewear.com and we're happy to check to your benefits for you.

Can I purchase Plano (Non-Rx) lenses or readers with my vision insurance?

This depends on your insurance and your plan. Once you give us your insurance information and identifiers, we are able to let you know exactly how much you are eligible to receive in reimbursements for computer glasses from PhoneticEyewear.com. As all of our lenses have a special anti-reflective coating to combat blue light and the effects of digital eye strain, we have found that our lenses and frames are usually covered.

Can I use my HSA/FSA card with my vision insurance?

This depends on your plan. Please contact your benefit administrator or your vision plan directly to see what your options are. If you aren't using your insurance, we always accept HSA and FSA cards on our site. Just run them as you would a normal credit card. We are happy to supply itemized receipts upon request.

Can I combine discounts with my vision insurance?

Feel free to use a coupon code during checkout! Once we know the total amount of your order, we supply this information to your insurance company. Then they will reimburse you for your eligible amount.
